TRI Activists: Take the Next Step--Call EPA

Call Kim Nelson, Assistant Administrator in charge of the Office of Environmental Information, at 202-564-6665.

Administrator Nelson is the main EPA official responsible for the proposed cuts in toxic reporting. Tell her that you want to continue to have this vital information about pollution in your community.

Here is a sample script to help you along:

"Hello, my name is _____________. I'm calling from (City, State), and I would like to register my opposition to the cutbacks to TRI reporting that EPA is proposing. I want the full information on pollution that TRI now provides to continue to be available to me and my community. This information is too important to get rid of in order to save companies a little paperwork."

If you'd like to mention facts and figures, you can find many in this fact sheet.

Then, tell us about it. After you've called and spoken with Administrator Nelson or left a message, email Sean Moulton and tell him you did it!

Thank you for making the call and helping make a difference.
