Development Director
Paula Shoecraft joined OMB Watch in September 2006. She brings experience in the nonprofit sector at the local, state and national levels as a consultant, staff, and volunteer. She was formerly the communications manager for the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers. As staff at the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards she served as outreach manager for Teacher Leadership Initiatives, special assistant to the president, and executive associate for communications and public relations. Prior positions include director of development for the Inter-American Dialogue, director of a national public service campaign for Independent Sector, director of a project at the Community Foundation for Southeastern Michigan promoting giving and volunteering, and director of the Oakland Planning Division of United Community Services, also in Michigan. As president of her own consulting business, Paula worked exclusively with nonprofits. She has been a founding board member, committee chair and board president of a variety of nonprofit organizations, having most recently served as president of Hostelling International, American Youth Hostels. Paula has a B.S. in Social Science from Michigan State University.
