Included in House passed omnibus continuing resolution on the budget. Istook VI was stripped from the omnibus CR by joint conferees of the House and Senate on April 26, 1996.

Istook V (The draft legislation)
Released by Rep. Istook and may have the support of Senator Larry Craig (R-ID). Has not been offered as an amendment to any introduced bills in Congress this year. (December 19, 1995)

Included in House passed continuing resolution on the budget. Istook III was stripped from the CR by the Senate and replaced by a Simpson-Craig amendment on November 9, 1995. (November 8, 1995)

Istook II (Revised Istook)
Offered as amendment in House-Senate conference for FY 1996 appropriations bill for Departments of Treasury and Postal Service. The conference reported the bill in disagreement after the Senate rejected the Istook amendment. (October 26, 1995)

Included in House passed FY 1996 appropriations bill for Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education. It was stripped from Senate version. The Senate bill was not conferenced with the House version. (August 4, 1995)
