Sam Rosen-Amy: Federal Fiscal Policy Analyst

Sam Rosen-Amy works in OMB Watch’s Federal Fiscal Policy program as a Federal Fiscal Policy Analyst. Sam serves as our staff expert on transparency issues related to both federal spending and the federal budget process. Sam was also deeply involved in analysis of the transparency measures developed for the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Prior to joining OMB Watch, Sam worked at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He has also interned at the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, where he managed college outreach and worked with legislative campaigns to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.
Sam holds a B.A. from Vassar College in Political Science with a minor in Economics. At Vassar, he was the Editor in Chief of the Miscellany News, Vassar College’s weekly newspaper of record.
Outside of work, Sam volunteers his time as a tax preparer with the DC Earned Income Tax Credit Campaign. Sam is also a professional photographer whose photos have appeared in The New York Times.
