State Responses and Updates
Oregon

The following comments have been compiled by the Legislative Information Systems staff, which is the central Information Technology department of the Oregon Legislature, in response to the report authored by OMB Watch entitled, "Plugged In, Tuning Up: An Assessment of State Legislative Websites." The Oregon Legislative Web Site incorporates information about both the Senate and the House of Representatives. Information relating to the legislative process and research supporting the process also resides on this site. The URL listed in the appendix of the report was a subset of the legislative site. To clarify, the home page for the Oregon legislative site is: http://www.leg.state.or.us

Audio files are available live at the time or the hearing/session, and then archived from that point forward. Archives are available for 1999 session, 1999-2000 interim, and 2001 session at this time. Video streaming was just added for the 2001 session. Video files are not currently archived.

  • Oregon has recently begun to incorporate documents in other languages to its site (example: http://www.leg.state.or.us/comounaidea.htm).
